Working at the Commission.

Yes, I haven't posted all week. I've been incredibly busy and also trying to start a new sleeping/waking schedule. On top of this, I haven't been able to read very much, so I thought I would just post an update on what I've been doing.

Today was my second day of work at the Commission. I've begun sleeping a little after 10pm and waking a little after 6am, so I have a good deal of time before I need to leave and get to work by 8:30am. The building I'm working at has a gym in the basement with showers, which I've decided to use before work starts (at 9:00am). Currently, my work has focused on preparing the briefing book for the Commissioners, who will be taking a trip to Hong Kong and China in the coming weeks. Once that is out of the way, most of my substantive work will be on the annual report that the Commission puts out, where I will be playing a supplementary role to the security department. Currently I'm working 20 hours a week, but this will most likely be bumped up in the coming weeks.

Since I will be up every day a little after 6am, I'll be able to go to Theology Breakfast consistently and also attend "The Richard Sibbes Project" that Mark Dever is doing. Pretty simple: Mark Dever reading through Richard Sibbes for a podcast every Tuesday morning in the Blue Room. Good stuff.
