Ah, Holy Jesus.

The first hymn we sang tonight at evening service was Johann Heermann's (c. 1630) Ah, Holy Jesus. We had an awesome line-up of hymns, but this one particularly struck me; especially this line:
Therefore, kind Jesus, since I cannot pay Thee,
I do adore Thee, and will ever pray Thee;
Think on Thy pity and Thy love unswerving,
Not my deserving.
Reminded me of The Sands of Time are Sinking, in regards to being unable to repay Christ:
O I am my Beloved's and my Beloved's mine!
He brings a poor vile sinner into His "house of wine."
I stand upon His merit--I know no other stand,
Not e'en where glory dwelleth in Immanuel's land.
